Aquatic Supervisor Course
From $150
Aquatic Supervisor certification is the Lifesaving Society training standard for instructors and lifeguards who wish to assume deck-level supervisor responsibilities for overseeing instructional and recreational programs and day-to-day operations at aquatic facilities.
Aquatic Supervisor introduces participants to the knowledge, skills and tools require to effectively guide fellow staff members in the safe delivery of aquatic programs and services, and to prepare for effective emergency response.
This checklist identifies the learning outcomes that you must achieve in order to be successful on the course.
Prerequisite: Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor or Lifesaving Instructor, and National Lifeguard certifications (need not be current).
Aquatic Manager Course

Aquatic Manager certification is the Lifesaving Society’s professional designation for managers who, regardless of their aquatic background, are responsible for oversight of aquatic programs and services.
Aquatic Manager equips participants with the knowledge, principles and skills required to confidently direct excellent program delivery, responsive customer service, and attentive compliance with health and safety standards in the aquatic environment.

Pool Operator Level 1 Course

The Pool Operator Level 1 course blends safety management with the essential knowledge of facility operation. The course provides pool operators with the knowledge and resources to operate and maintain safe swimming pools in accordance with provincial health regulations and includes:
- an understanding of the various types of pools and the impact of maintenance planning.
- knowledge of the principle contaminants of water and the applications of water treatment to pool and spa systems for both Class A and B pools.
- a practical, hands-on approach for solving typical water treatment problems.
- the implications of Recreation Water Illness and concepts underlying pool air quality.

Pool Operator Level 2 Course

The Pool Operator Level 2 focuses on regulatory standards for pool operation and chemical application principles in order to maintain balanced swimming pool water. Participants learn to problem solve and how to safely adjust swimming pool chemical levels in order to maintain a healthy and safe environment for bathers and staff. The course includes:
- a thorough review of regulatory requirements and standards for the operation of aquatic facilities including: pools, spas, wading pools, and waterfronts
- a review of the principles of balanced pool water and the step-by-step procedures pool operators should follow when making adjustments to chemical levels in aquatic facilities
- an open forum for discussion and resolution of problems facing pool operators
Prerequisite: Lifesaving Society Pool Operator Level 1 or equivalent.
SEE Auditor Course

The Supervision Evaluation and Enhancement (SEE) Auditor course is designed to give individuals the knowledge, training and tools required to evaluate the effectiveness of lifeguard and instructor safety supervision using Lifesaving Society SEE checklists.
Prerequisite: National Lifeguard certification and 100 hours lifeguarding experience as a lifeguard or National Lifeguard Examiner or Aquatic Supervisor or Aquatic Manager.
